You’ve produced a multimedia show for your book. Now you want to bring viewers to your preview trailer.
At S. J. Miller Communications, we begin by creating a search engine-friendly trailer announcement. This includes the announcement itself which is marketing focused and may be either publisher-, or author-driven. Along with the announcement, we provide a long and short summary, keywords, and key phrases.
Once you approve the announcement, we submit it to:
- 500 top news and entertainment sites (for example, MSNBC, CNN, ABC, and Yahoo)
- 25 social news/social bookmarking Web sites (for example, Digg, del.icio.us, and StumbleUpon)
- 15 top news and entertainment blogs (such as MSN Entertainment blog and bumpshack.com)
We also submit the trailer’s URL, as well as a book trailer description and keywords, to 10 video-sharing sites (such as YouTube, Google Video, and Photobucket).
In addition, we distribute the trailer announcement to Google News and upload it to 35 press release banks (such as MediaSyndicate, PRLog, and EpicPR).
As a premium service, we can distribute an abbreviated version of the announcement to 5,000 national and local broadcast (CNN, “Good Morning America,” etc.), print (USA Today, Wall Street Journal, and so forth), and online media decision makers (C/Net, CNN.com, MSNBC.com, and the like) in an effort to garner interview opportunities for the publisher’s marketing representative or the author. Once we ascertain the representative or author’s availability for interviews, we schedule interviews, and provide contact information (name, phone number, time, date, media outlet, media description, etc.) as media bookings are confirmed.
